Who is Ladolcevita.
MONIA TRENTINI, CAKE DESIGNER.
Why did I choose this name? At the time I was living in Hong Kong, I was looking for a simple name which could express the Italian spirit and be easy to pronounce for everyone.
After a quick survey, consulting people of various language background, Ladolcevita was selected among others. To my surprise even children knew the inner meaning of these short words.
“La Dolce Vita” is the title of one of the most popular movies by Federico Fellini. It has left its mark on an era and generated a lifestyle. “La Dolce Vita” describes a very typical Italian way of enjoying life, and makes us think of our expression whilst eating a good cake, I couldn’t imagine a better name than this.

I’m Monia and I like to introduce myself as a curious, life loving person.
I spent half of my life as a creative graphic designer in many advertising agencies and then, chose to move to Hong Kong with my family. It is a real challenge relocating to a new country with young children in tow. Besides the beautiful opportunity, deciding to change your life includes hard times, however it is from difficulties that you can encourage yourself to rebuild your reference points very quickly and open your mind to look at what you really need.
A different city, country and culture can offer you very interesting perspectives, and if Ladolcevita is what it is today, it’s thanks to all
I learned at that time. Knocking down some walls, new concepts were born.
Pastry is a science and it requires constant study. Sometimes it feels like being at school again, but this is the good part of being
a curious person. Curiosity always gives you the will to learn
new things and the capability to combine them in a creative way.
